The Holy Spirit lives inside every Christian to give live, guide, empower, and guarentee the promise of eternal life. The greek word for spirit literally translated is air, breath, wind, or breathe. After Jesus rose from the dead, He met with the disciples and when He breathed on them He said "Receive the Holy Spirit." The Bible is literally God-breathed according to the literal translation of 2 Timothy 3:16. We do not see the Holy Spirit but like the wind (which we cannot see) we do observe the influence, power and movement in the world and in the lives of those who all Him to work.
