BRIANNA HARRIS, a distinguished graduate of Michigan State University, epitomizes grace, determination, and leadership. Though she was involved in church as a young girl, her sophomore year of undergrad was a turning point, proclaiming the independent and true blossoming of her faith. On March 15, 2015, she was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. After spending seven years searching for her own church home and family, she found one in the Royal Oak Church of Christ where she continues on her spiritual journey.Navigating the world as a Christian and Real Estate Agent, she exudes professionalism and has been coined as a “class act” by peers and clients alike. Brianna's journey is marked by her unwavering commitment to excellence, making her an exemplary figure in her field. Beyond her career, Brianna remains deeply connected to her roots, embodying a family-oriented spirit and enjoying time spent with her mother, Selena, younger brother, James, and golden retriever puppy, Knox. Engaged with her sorority, she dedicates herself to community service, showcasing her commitment to making a positive impact beyond the professional realm. Brianna's multifaceted persona, blending academic success, professional prowess, and a passion for community, establishes her as a role model, leaving an indelible mark on those in her path.

LAURA SAWYER made the most important decision of her life in 1980; committing her life to the Lord! Since then, she has been actively involved in the Royal Oak, North Warren, and currently, the Metro Church of Christ congregations. She continues to fulfill her lifelong passion for teaching at Metro as a Sunday Morning Bible class teacher for early elementary children, teaching in rotation the Children’s Worship service and avidly looks forward to participating as a lead teacher in the Vacation Bible School. She has influenced the launch of the Embrace Grace ministry at Metro, a faith-based program that provides women experiencing unexpected pregnancies with practical, spiritual, and emotional support and now looks forward to becoming more involved this year because. . .

. . .after 50 years in the workforce, serving in a variety of support roles that required much of her time; she consulted the Lord and clearly realized it was time to focus all of her energy and interests on the ministries of her heart which include serving the Lord’s church, her family, and especially affording her more time to influence and love on her 3 grandchildren!

Laura has been married to her best friend, Dale, for 44+ years. Their faith, love and commitment have exponentially grown through weathering many storms and sharing in countless blessings together; which include their 3 children; Holly, Nathan, and Heather, who is enjoying her eternity with Jesus, and 3 grandchildren who have expanded their hearts; Charlotte, Violet, and Grayson! In her free time, Laura’s interests and passions include charitable volunteer work for children with disabilities and life-threatening illnesses, running, biking, swimming, serving the Lord’s church, time with her family and road trips with Dale to visit family and enjoy the natural beauty of God’s creation!
