Ruth humbly lays at the feet of Boaz while he sleeps and finds shelter in his covering as a symbol of her desire for him to become her kinsman redeemer based on the law of Moses. Boaz eagerly desires to fulfill her request and quickly settles the matter before the elders at the city gate. Eventually King David would be born as a great grandson to Ruth and Boaz. Many generations later King Jesus would also be born from this family lineage.
