Care to Share

From the beginning God has a special conern for the poor, the widow and the orphans. In the Old Testament God made provision for the needs of the poor by telling the rich to leave some fruit and grain in their fields so the poor and stranger could eat from the land. In the New Testament we are instructed to share what we have by John the Baptist, Jesus, the apostles, Paul and James.  The answer to the famine in Jerusalem was given by the churches in Corinth, Macedonia, Galatia and surronding towns.  They gave what they had to help those who had nothing.  We follow their example in doing the same.  One great church organization that is helping and blessing the orphans in the world is www.orphanslifeline.org which invests our money into the lives of others.
