King David was eager, willing and filled with joy at the opportunity to give of his very best to the temple, worship and honor of God. He and the other leaders gave sacrificially and the people also were exticited and enthusiastic about participating in this grace of giving. When we give something of value to someone we love, our affection, desire and love for that person increases proportionately. If desire to go into a deeper relationship with the Lord, our sacrificial giving of our time, resourses and money will open the door for a stronger bond of love.
