Pentecost

Pentecost is one of the three Hebrew holy days when the male Israelites would travel to Jerusalem to worship. The Greek word is Pentecost (used in the New Testament) and the Hebrew word is Shavuot referring to the counting of days. At this feast, people would bring the first fruits of their harvest as thanksgiving and remembering the covenant that they had made with Jehovah.
