Jesus is the perfect good shepherd who feeds and leads His sheep as described in Psalm 23 and John 10. The church needs men who know the way, love the flock, tend to the weak and wandering, comfort the distressed, protect from the enemy. Paul writes to Timothy and Titus giving us qualities of character for elders and deacons who would be servant leaders in the family of God.
