Jesus knew that the things of this life would seek to master us by taking our thoughts, time, desires, plans, energy and resources. Through many teachings and various examples and illustrations, we are taught to make the Lord our priority and to seek His kingdom first. It is not only hard to do, but much harder to recognized and change when we get drawn into loving the world.
