David's sin hurt many people in his kingdom, neighborhoor and family. But no one felt the on-going mental, emotional, spiritual pain more than the King himself. Psalm 38 describes immense physical pain that had the souce of the sickness in David's sin. This is similiar to Psalm 51 and Psalm 6.
