Thomas was a committed disciple who was willing to die with Jesus (just as Jesus had been teaching for the past several months) and he was willing to ask questions when he did not know the answers to important questions. However, he is known as "doubting Thomas" when in fact he asked for no more evidence than the other 10 apostles had, and even then some of them did not believe. We can strengthen our faith even when we don't always see the physical proof but must rely on eyewitness testimony. Even in that step of trust, God will bless us because of our small, but simple faith.
