The Holy Spirit fills those who are thirsting for a relationship with the Lord. Jesus promised the Spirit would come to live inside those who ask. The Spirit is often compared to the refreshing and reviving qualitites of water in the Old Testament. Jesus also spoke of this to the women at the well who desired water that would quench her soul (John 4).
