Paul was in trial, accused of wrong doing, before the governor Felix. During that same trial Felix was found guilty of transgression and trespasses against God. His conscience was touched and sent Paul away until a more convinient time. Paul was free, although he was in prision. Felix, who at one time was a slave, was now free, prominent and wealthy, but he knew he was still a slave to this world and condemned by God. Salvation was discussed and offered, but as far as we know, Felix never took the pardon offered by Jesus Christ.
