God’s design for the church is that leading men would be the spiritual teachers, examples, mentors, protectors and shepherds for the church family. The shepherds would lead in spiritual matters (preaching the word and prayer) and the deacons would focus on the daily ministry needs (like finance, benevolence, building projects, fellowship events, etc.).  Acts 6, 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, 1 Peter 5, Hebrews 13
