John the Baptist, Jesus and the apostles preached repentance in order to be prepared for the kingdom. We have all turned away from God and walked on the broad way that leads to death. Jesus came to bring us life and we must get off the road of unrighteousness by turning from our sin and turning to God though Jesus. Repentance is a blessing, a gift and a joy through the grace and love of God.
