It's Criminal

The crime of treason is when a citizen betrays his country and crosses over to the side of the enemy. Spiritually this crime was first committed in the paradise garden when Adam and Eve betrayed their position under God and sided with the devil.  The crime of blaspheme is a religious crime that takes various forms. Jesus was accused of blaspheme when He forgave sin and claimed to be the son of God, making Himself equal with the Lord.  We have all committed treason and blaspheme when we put ourselves in God's place, making ourselves the master and ruler of our lives.
