Empty Life

The Israel army set out to fight against Moab with full force and victory was sure, until they wandered in circles in the dessert searching for water.  Soon they realized there defeat would be death in the dry sand. Elisha told them do dig ditches so that water could flow, even though there was not a cloud in the sky.  They obeyed and God provided them with all the water they needed and created a mirage which granted them victory.  Later on a widow with two sons was so poor and owed money she could not repay was fearful that her sons would be taken as slaves to repay the debt.  Elisha told her to gather as many empty pots from friends and neighbors that she could find. God provided a miracle of oil which filled every vessel in her house from which she could pay the bill and have enough to live on. If we, in faith, provide the ditch or empty vessels, God will fill us with His power, peace and provision by means of the Holy Spirit.
