We are clay in the hands of the potter. The Master decides how he will make and mold us to be used for His purpose and plan. While He does have the power and right to choose what we will be, we can harden ourselves and resist His will. We pray, like Jesus prayed, not my will but Your will be done. The process of making a vessel that can be used begins on the inside and works its way out and it begins at the bottom and works its way up. The Potter uses water as the medium between His fingers and our shape. The water in our lives is the Spirit and the Word through which the will of God is transmitted onto us.
