This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. We remember singing this song with enthusiasm when we were young and occassionally still sing this old round. It is from Psalm 117 and may often be taken out of context. The day that God has made and the day in which we rejoice is the day that God's chosen corner stone was rejected by man but was precious and powerful in God's plan for saving the world. Not every day do we feel like rejoicing, but even in difficult days we still find hope, peace and joy in what God has done for us, is doing in us and will perform in the future because of Jesus.
